Terms of service

These terms form the agreement between you and the operator of Vow&Kin:

They apply when you create an account, build a wedding invitation or buy a plan. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived by contract.

Vow&Kin lets couples create a digital wedding invitation and a Save the Date page, share private links with each household, collect RSVP answers and plan the guest list. Depending on the plan, it also offers seating, a kitchen summary, budget and checklist tools, a gift-fund page, music and invitation emails sent by Vow&Kin.

You can create and preview an invitation and publish a Save the Date page on the Free plan. Publishing the main invitation, collecting RSVP answers and household invitations need a paid plan. The pricing page shows exactly what each plan includes.

You must be at least 18 years old to open an account. Give us a correct email address and keep access to it safe, because sign-in links and codes are sent there. You may invite collaborators to a wedding; the account that owns the wedding is responsible for what its collaborators do there.

Paid plans are one-time purchases for one wedding, not subscriptions. The features of each plan are those shown on the pricing page and in the checkout at the time you buy. If you move to a higher plan, you pay the difference between the two prices. Occasional offers, such as a discount for new accounts, are shown with their conditions before you pay.

Prices are shown in euros (EUR); visitors in the United Kingdom see pounds sterling (GBP) including VAT and visitors in the United States see US dollars (USD) before any sales tax, and you can choose another of these currencies on the pricing page. You pay in the currency shown in the checkout. [VAT treatment will be confirmed.]

Published invitations stay online with no time limit for as long as Vow&Kin operates. You can ask us for an export of your invitation and guest list at any time. On paid plans you can also download your guest list and RSVP answers as CSV files yourself. Private household links that Vow&Kin sends by email or text message expire 180 days after they are sent; you can create a new link for a household at any time.

Payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe Checkout, using the payment methods shown there. The price is charged when you complete the payment. Your plan is unlocked as soon as Stripe confirms the payment to us, normally within seconds.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have the right to withdraw from a contract concluded online within 14 days without giving a reason. A paid plan is supplied digitally and unlocked immediately. Before payment, our checkout therefore asks you to tick this statement:

By ticking it, you ask us to start before the withdrawal period ends and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once the plan is unlocked. We record the wording version, the time and the language with your order. If something does not work as described, write to us and we will fix it. Your statutory rights for defects in digital products remain unaffected. On top of these rights we offer a voluntary money-back guarantee: a full refund of any plan if you ask within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. The details are in our Refund policy.

Concierge adds hands-on setup by our team. After your purchase we contact you by email to agree what we will prepare and when, and we need your texts, photographs, guest details and decisions in time to do it. Team members work inside your wedding workspace on your behalf. You stay responsible for checking the content before it is published or sent. Concierge is covered by the same 14-day money-back guarantee as every plan, as set out in our Refund policy. [Scheduling and scope of Concierge work will be confirmed.]

You keep ownership of the words, photographs, videos, music and other material you add. You give Vow&Kin the limited, non-exclusive permission needed to store, process and display that content for your wedding and your guests, for as long as the wedding is on Vow&Kin. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, including photographs of other people and any music.

We may remove content that breaks the law, infringes someone else's rights or puts the service at risk, and we will tell you when we reasonably can.

You decide which guests to add and what to ask them, and we process that data for you as described in our Privacy policy. You agree to:

• add only people you are inviting, and only the information you need for the wedding
• tell your guests that you use Vow&Kin for invitations and RSVP, for example by linking to our privacy policy
• ask about dietary or accessibility needs only when you need the answers for catering or planning, and share them only with the people who need them
• send invitations and reminders only to your own guests, and text messages only to guests who have agreed to receive them
• keep the private links and exports you download safe

Use Vow&Kin for a genuine wedding or a related private celebration. Do not use it for unlawful, deceptive, hateful or abusive content, for advertising or bulk messaging, to send messages to people who did not agree to receive them, to access another wedding, guest list or private invitation without permission, or to test, overload or work around our security. We may suspend accounts that do so.

A gift fund uses a payment link that the couple chooses and controls. Vow&Kin can record contributions that guests report but does not receive, hold or transfer wedding gift money and is not a party to those payments.

Optional AI import and assistant connections help you draft and translate. Check every text before you publish or send it; assistants can make mistakes.

We work to keep invitations available and secure, but no internet service runs without interruption, for example during maintenance or outages at our providers. Please export your RSVP answers regularly and keep your own copies of original photographs and videos.

We improve Vow&Kin over time. We will not change a plan you have paid for in a way that significantly reduces what it includes, except where the law allows; if we must, we will tell you in advance and you keep your statutory rights.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under product liability law, and wherever liability cannot be limited by law.

For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential for the proper performance of the contract and on which you may regularly rely, and then only for the typical damage that was foreseeable when the contract was made. Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is excluded. Your statutory rights for defects remain unaffected.

You can stop using Vow&Kin and delete your account at any time in Account settings. Deleting an account deletes the weddings you own, including guest lists and RSVP answers; it does not by itself create a right to a refund. We may suspend or end an account for a serious breach of these terms, after a warning where that is reasonable.

The terms that apply to a purchase are the ones in force when you buy. If we change these terms for existing accounts, we will tell you by email in advance; changes never take away rights to a plan you have already paid for.

[Governing law and place of jurisdiction will be confirmed.] If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
