Getting to the lake

Milan's airports are an easy drive from Tremezzina.

Arriving

Fly into Milan Linate or Malpensa. Tremezzina is roughly 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes by car.

By ferry

Lake Como's public ferries stop at Lenno and Tremezzo; the fast boats connect with Como town.

Where to stay

Grand Hotel Tremezzo, or one of the small hotels in Lenno and Tremezzo along the shore.

On the day

Our boats run from Lenno to the villa and back. Leave the car at your hotel.

The villa has no road access. Tell us if boats are difficult for you.

If you would like to give something, we are saving for a slow autumn in Sicily.

In October we're heading south for a slow honeymoon in Sicily: lemon groves, Baroque towns and a boat to the Aeolian islands. A contribution to a boat day, a cooking class or a night on Salina would make us very happy.

Your presence on the lake is gift enough.

Everything guests often ask before a lake wedding.

How do we get to the villa?

Only by boat. Our boats leave Lenno's lakefront at 17:45 and 18:00.

What if it rains?

The ceremony moves into the covered loggia and dinner under a marquee on the terrace.

Should we rent a car?

Useful for exploring, not needed for the wedding: ferries, taxis and our boats cover everything.

Can we swim in the lake?

Yes, in September the water is still warm enough for a brave dip.

Is the villa accessible?

The paths are steep in places. Tell us what would help and we'll plan it with the villa.
