Getting to Cliveden
Close to London, Heathrow and the Elizabeth line.
Take the Elizabeth line or GWR to Taplow. We run a shuttle from the station at 12:45 and 13:15.
Cliveden is about 25 minutes from Heathrow and just off the M4 and M40.
We have held a block of rooms at the house until 19 March. Mention our names when you book.
Maidenhead and Marlow both have good hotels a short taxi ride away.
Before the day
Small things that will help you relax and enjoy it.
Little ones are very welcome for the ceremony and tea; there is a supervised games room from 18:00.
Please keep phones away while we say our vows.
If it rains, tea moves to the house and the croquet becomes charades.
The house is step-free on the ground floor. Tell us what would help.
Garden formal
Suits and summer dresses, hats if you love them, and shoes that work on grass.
Garden formal.
Smart summer. Linen, blazers, a light layer for the river.
Relaxed.
A garden of our own
Your company is the gift. If you would like to give something, we are planting our first garden.
After years of window boxes, we finally have a garden in Oxford. We would love to fill it with a pear tree, climbing roses and a bench where we can sit on summer evenings.
Truly no gift needed. Come, eat cake, dance.
A little more detail
Everything guests often ask before a country-house wedding.
When should we arrive?
Between 13:15 and 13:45, so there is time to find your seat and enjoy the view.
Can we drive and park?
Yes, there is parking at the house. We recommend a taxi home.
Are hats expected?
Never expected, always welcome.
Can we stay the night?
Yes. Our room block at Cliveden is open until 19 March 2027.
Is there a Sunday plan?
A relaxed brunch at the house from 10:30. Come as you are.
